County Caseworker 1 (Local Government) - Perry County C&Y (Multiple Vacancies)

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

This position focuses on helping children, youth, and families through important social services and support. You will guide families through challenges and connect them with needed resources. As a County Caseworker 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Service Planning: Conduct intake assessments, document information, and determine risk using the approved assessment model
• Safety Investigations: Investigate reports of child mistreatment or abuse and ensure the safety of children involved
• Family Support Visits: Complete monthly home visits and help develop family service plans
• Placement Monitoring: Manage out of home placements through monthly visits and family contact
• Record Maintenance: Maintain detailed and accurate family files

Completion of the Core Training series for County Caseworkers and Caseworker Certification is required to be completed after employment begins.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • This position is included in a 24 hour on-call rotation schedule.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
