Courier Part Time

On-Demand Delivery Driver – Flexible Hours

Pay:

• $17–$18 per hour (regular rate) - rate depends on experience/jobs duties
• +$3.50 per hour premium for any on-demand (call-in) job after hours
• 2-hour minimum pay for each on-demand assignment
• ($17.00 + 3.50) *2 = $41 minimum for on demand work
• Example: Called into complete a route that only takes 30 minutes, you will still get paid for 2 hours along with the extra 3.50 per hours (2 hour min). If the job ends of taking 3 hours, you get 3 hours withe the extra 3.50 per hours = (17+3.50) * 3 hours $61.50. Typically for call ins after 5 PM

Schedule:

• Most jobs occur between 12:00 PM and 10:00 PM
• However, deliveries may be scheduled at any time of day
• Ideal candidates must be flexible and available to accept jobs as needed

Job Details:

• On-demand delivery work
• Primarily business-to-business (B2B) deliveries
• Occasional residential deliveries
• Work is assigned based on demand

As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and packages to their designated locations. This is a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Operate a car or van
• Use a smart phone
• Delivery packages typically 1 or multiple packages from point A to B
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Commercial driving experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 30 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading goods. 50 lbs occasionally

Couriers (Car/Van) drivers are responsible for distributing client materials for institutions, businesses, government agencies, and individuals. They pick up materials from customers’ offices or houses and then deliver them to final destinations. Couriers are responsible for maintaining a good appearance, staying organized, and acting professionally.

ON THE JOB TRAINING
We provide an inhouse Truck Safety and Compliance Training program to prepare all employees with the tools to be successful in their new role. We also offer an annual truck driver training program to keep all drivers up to date on compliance and best practices.
