Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Court Administrator to oversee the efficient operation of our court system. This vital role involves managing administrative functions, coordinating judicial activities, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. As a Court Administrator, you will serve as the key liaison between judges, legal professionals, staff, and the public, fostering a smooth and organized court environment. Your leadership will help uphold justice by maintaining order, accuracy, and professionalism within the court.
- Minimum three (3) years as lead court clerk or administrator, applying knowledge of court rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Specific knowledge and experience with SMC court software is REQUIRED.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain Certification of Court Administration issued by MO Association of Court Administration.
$54,101 - $71,241. Advanced starting salary within the range may be considered, based on exceptional qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily court operations, including scheduling hearings, maintaining case files, and overseeing courtroom procedures.
- Oversees the maintenance of all court records and ensures compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Communicates directly with judges, defendants, defense counsel, the city prosecutor, police department, probation officers, and other criminal justice agencies to ensure timely case processing.
- Tracks all warrant cases, bond forfeitures, and probation cases for compliance.
- Prepares agency referrals, setting follow-up hearings, such as reviews and sentencing, and provides proper notification to the appropriate agency with the State of Missouri. Prepares and monitors commitments and orders for release from jail.
Pay: $54,101.00 - $71,241.00 per year

Experience:
- court administration - lead or administrator: 3 years (Required)
- SMC court software: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Certified Court Administrator through MACA (Preferred)
