Full Time Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and nurturing individual to join our team as a full-time Infant Lead Teacher!

Summary:

The Infant Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants in a daycare setting. This role combines childcare with early childhood education, ensuring the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child. Lead teachers plan and implement curriculum, supervise assistant teachers, and collaborate with parents to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

Responsibilities:

 Curriculum and Instruction:

o Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that meet educational standards and guidelines for children 6 weeks to 18 months.

o Plan activities that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

o Integrate play-based learning with opportunities for exploration and creativity.

o Observe and assess children's progress, tailoring instruction to individual needs.

 Classroom Management:

o Create a safe and secure learning environment that meets all licensing regulations.

o Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities, ensuring safety and well-being.

o Establish and maintain positive classroom routines and expectation.

o Supervise and guide assistant teachers, providing coaching and feedback.

Maintain accurate and timely records of each child's development and progress.

Complete daily reports and other required documentation.

 Communication and Collaboration:

o Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on

children's progress.

o Build positive relationships with families and address any concerns.

o Collaborate with the daycare director and other staff members to ensure a cohesive

program.

 Professionalism:

o Stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development.

o Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

o Be a positive role model for children, demonstrating patience, kindness, and respect.

o Follow all center policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

 Experience working with infants in a daycare or preschool setting is required.

 Strong knowledge of child development milestones and best practices, specifically infants birth - 18 months.

 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

 Ability to plan, implement, and manage a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

 Patience, creativity, and enthusiastic with a genuine love for children.

 Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 First Aid and CPR certified (Required – can be obtained after employment).

Schedule:

 Full time (approximately 40 hours per week).

 Monday-Friday
