Job description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated license (CPRP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling, with experience in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities. License (CPRP) will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy in a supportive environment.
Hours for the position are 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs, strengths, and treatment goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families, incorporating evidence-based practices.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.
- Implement trauma-informed care principles and culturally competent approaches in all client interactions.
- Case Management:
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, community resources, and support services to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Assess and manage crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention to clients in distress.
- Develop safety plans and collaborate with emergency services when necessary.
- Client Education and Advocacy:
- Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and community services.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to provide holistic care.
- Participate in regular team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities.
- Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Maryland state laws.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, state regulations, and funding requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current Maryland license (CPRP) licensure is required
- Experience in mental health settings, particularly in outpatient care preferred.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for patients dealing with issues such as PTSD, addiction, and behavioral health challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in home and community settings.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems.
- Engage in case management activities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance service delivery.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed to support patients in acute distress.
- Stay informed about current trends in social work practices, medical terminology, and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10).
Qualifications
- CPRP licensure required.
- Experience working with children and families; familiarity with pediatrics is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or geriatric populations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and PTSD care strategies.
- Proficient in medical documentation practices and familiarity.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
