We are a craft cocktail bar operating within a historic, character-rich space, where thoughtful service and attention to detail shape the guest experience. Our program is built around well-executed cocktails, house-made ingredients, and an atmosphere that feels both grounded and quietly transportive. Our menu weaves together developed cocktails with ingredients and service elements that carry symbolic and metaphysical associations. This role requires strong technical ability and genuine curiosity—an ability to learn, retain, and clearly communicate layered information while maintaining consistency and pace during both high-volume and more measured service. Prior craft cocktail bartending experience is required. The ideal candidate works with focus, moves efficiently, and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results.
Position Available:
- Hourly pay: $13–$15 per hour, based on experience.
- Tips typically range from $18–$30+ per hour.
- This position begins at 1–2 shifts per week and is not a full-time role.
- Additional shifts may become available based on business needs and team performance.
- Training period is approximately 1–3 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Execute a rotating menu of specialty craft cocktails with speed, accuracy, and consistency using jiggered measurements.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including ingredients, flavor profiles, preparation methods, and associated service elements.
- Clearly and confidently communicate menu items, guiding guests through both beverage selections and service processes.
- Provide attentive, polished, and inclusive guest service, anticipating needs and creating a welcoming environment.
- Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation across all bar and service areas.
- Perform prep tasks including garnish preparation, batching, and restocking with precision and efficiency.
- Accurately ring in orders, process payments, and maintain cash handling integrity using POS systems.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, communicating needs proactively.
- Follow all safety protocols related to alcohol service and guest well-being.
- Complete all opening and closing duties thoroughly and within established time expectations.
- Work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency of execution.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Personable attitude towards the general public.
- Memorization of recipes and processes, ability to describe the ingredients and rituals.
- Fast and extremely precise preparation of craft cocktails.
- Adept at tracking inventory.
- The ability to handle and carry dishware and glassware safely.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands for your time and attention.
- Proficiency with Square software and hardware (will train upon hiring)
- Personal enthusiasm about our products and services.
- Ability to remain calm in chaotic and busy environment, or ability to remain busy during slow shifts.
- Ability to work alone for long periods of time and late at night.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs up and down stairs. Stand on feet for long periods of time.
