Craftsmen Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview
Responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in construction and manufacturing environments. Duties include fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting pipe, plate, and structural metal components, as well as installing, dismantling, and relocating machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements
  • Perform pulsed MIG, TIG, and/or FCAW
  • Measure and verify materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Fabricate ductwork, piping, sheet metal components, and structural steel according to project specifications
  • Position, align, fit, and assemble metal components and equipment
  • Safely operate forklifts, rigging equipment, and other material handling tools
  • Install, dismantle, and relocate machinery and heavy equipment as required
  • Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with ASME codes, company standards, and safety regulations

Qualifications
Craft I
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Craft II
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Craft III
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Must be willing to travel and have a STAR card.
