Crash Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Crash Safety Engineer responsible for the development, analysis, and validation of vehicle crashworthiness and occupant protection systems. The role focuses on ensuring that vehicles meet global safety regulations and achieve targeted crash performance ratings across multiple markets.

The candidate will conduct advanced CAE crash simulations using tools such as LS-DYNA, HyperMesh, and ANSA to evaluate frontal, side, rear, pole, and rollover impacts.

The role requires close collaboration with Body-in-White (BIW), seating, restraint systems, interior, and materials engineering teams to implement structural reinforcements and weight-optimized solutions.

Responsibilities:

Perform crash simulations using LS-DYNA, HyperMesh, or similar CAE tools.

Analyze vehicle crash performance (Frontal, Side, Rear, Pole, Roof Crush).

Evaluate occupant safety systems including airbags, seat belts, and structural reinforcements.

Support compliance with global safety regulations (FMVSS, AIS, Euro NCAP, IIHS).

Conduct root cause analysis and propose design improvements.

Collaborate with BIW, seating, interior, and restraint system teams.

Support physical crash testing and correlate CAE with test data.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.

3–8 years of experience in automotive crash or safety engineering.

Strong knowledge of CAE crash simulation tools (LS-DYNA preferred).

Understanding of vehicle structure, material behavior, and impact mechanics.

Experience with safety standards and homologation processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹2,300,000.00 per year
