Creative Assistant

Be Creative DIY Studio is seeking a dependable, customer-focused team member to join our growing studio. We are a fast-paced DIY craft environment offering walk-in sessions, scheduled workshops, kids’ birthday parties, and small group events. Our operations run similarly to a restaurant, requiring efficient table resets, strong customer service, and a consistently clean, organized workspace.

Position Overview

The Creative Assistant supports the daily operations of the studio, ensures guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience, and maintains an organized, welcoming environment. This role is hands-on, guest-facing, and active.

Responsibilities

• Host and support children’s birthday parties, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable experience for both kids and parents.
• Assist walk-in and scheduled guests with a variety of DIY projects.
• Reset and clean workstations promptly to prepare for upcoming guests.
• Restock supplies and help maintain an organized studio environment.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout each guest’s visit.
• Assist with check-in and checkout processes, including handling register transactions.
• Maintain a safe, family-friendly, and professional atmosphere.
• Follow studio procedures and uphold Be Creative’s standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with guests of all ages, especially children.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tasks.
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality are required.
• Works well in a team environment and demonstrates initiative.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Interest in crafting or creative activities is preferred but not required.

Schedule Requirements

• Weekend availability is required.
• Weekday and evening availability is preferred.
• Hours vary from week to week based on studio needs, event bookings, and business volume.
• We are seeking candidates who are extremely flexible and able to accommodate scheduling changes, including occasional last-minute adjustments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
