Creative Assistant / Executive Production Partner (Indie Film Development & Production)

I’m a writer/director currently developing an independent film and seeking a highly motivated Creative Assistant to serve as my right hand throughout development and production.

This is not a passive assistant role. I’m looking for someone who helps drive momentum, protect the vision, and ensure this film moves forward without losing focus or energy. I have part of the script completed and am actively finishing it, while simultaneously preparing for production.

The right person will help keep the crew on track, the schedule on track, and me on track. You will attend meetings with me, take detailed notes, help track action items, and ensure follow-through on decisions. Organization and forward motion are critical.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain production momentum and accountability
• Track deadlines, tasks, and follow-ups
• Attend meetings and document key decisions
• Organize script drafts, revisions, contacts, and logistics
• Coordinate communication between cast, crew, and collaborators
• Help anticipate challenges and problem-solve early
• Support the creative process while protecting structure

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and leadership instincts
• Goal-driven and self-motivated
• Clear and professional communicator
• Access to a computer
• Reliable transportation / access to a car
• Availability for in-person meetings
• Genuine passion for filmmaking and collaboration

Compensation:

• $120 per week

This role has the potential to grow. The intention is to build a focused and driven creative unit, with the possibility of continuing to make films together long term if the collaboration proves strong and aligned.
