We are seeking a visionary and articulate Concept Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of spatial design skills and strategic communication abilities. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing immersive environments, including exhibition stands, product display units, kiosks, and retail visual merchandising solutions. The Creative Concept Designer is responsible for generating original, compelling, and strategically aligned creative concepts that elevate brand storytelling and drive audience engagement. This role blends imagination with strategic thinking—transforming abstract ideas into visual narratives, campaign concepts, prototypes, and design directions that inspire teams and captivate audiences.

You will not just design structures; you will design experiences. You will translate client marketing objectives into compelling visual narratives, ensuring that every kiosk or display stand communicates the brand’s message effectively to its audience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conceptualization & Design

  • Create innovative 3D concepts for custom exhibition stands, point-of-sale (POS) displays, mall kiosks, and pop-up activations.
  • Develop mood boards, sketches, and spatial layouts that align with client branding guidelines.
  • Produce high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations to present the "look and feel" of the proposed solutions.
  • Ensure all designs consider spatial planning, traffic flow, ergonomics, and shopper psychology.
  • Develop innovative concepts for campaigns, branding, products, events, and multimedia content.
  • Translate creative briefs into clear, imaginative design directions.
  • Produce mood boards, concept sketches, storyboards, and prototypes to communicate ideas.

2. Visual Communication & Storytelling

  • Interpret complex marketing briefs and translate them into a coherent visual strategy.
  • Design graphic elements and signage integration within the structural design to ensure seamless brand messaging.
  • Create presentation decks that "sell the dream," explaining the rationale behind the design choices and how they solve the client's business problems.
  • Create visual representations of concepts through sketches, 2D/3D mock-ups, digital layouts, and presentations.
  • Ensure all concepts align with brand guidelines and project objectives.

3. Technical Feasibility & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the technical detailing and production teams to ensure concepts are structural sound and cost-effective to build.
  • Select appropriate materials (wood, acrylic, metal, LED integrations) that balance aesthetics with durability and budget.
  • Stay updated on global trends in retail design, exhibition technology, and sustainable materials.
  • Work closely with creative directors, designers, strategists, marketers, product teams, and clients.
  • Present concepts clearly and confidently; articulate the rationale and creative thinking behind ideas.
  • Incorporate feedback and refine concepts while maintaining creative integrity.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, visual communication or a related field.
  • Additional coursework or a strong background in Visual Communication, Marketing, or Brand Strategy is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 0–5+ years of professional experience specifically in designing exhibition stands, retail kiosks, or visual merchandising displays.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of projects from large-scale exhibition booths to intricate product display stands.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Tools

  • 3D Modeling: Expert proficiency in 3ds Max, Rhino, SketchUp, or Blender.
  • Rendering: Proficiency in V-Ray, Corona, or KeyShot.
  • 2D/Presentation: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for textures, post-production, and presentation layouts.
  • Exceptional creativity, imagination, and ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools (Adobe tools, Designs tools, Sketch, 3D tools, etc.).
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling creative concepts.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, user behaviour, and emerging creative trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Soft Skills

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to articulate design concepts clearly to non-designers and clients.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of retail environments and how consumers interact with products in a physical space.
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
