Creative Designer

What You Will Do:
The Creative Designer for Craft Worldwide will be required to:
? Develop design concepts and solutions based on creative briefs and clients’ business strategy
? Execute and produce design communications for diverse media
? Oversee design production to ensure executed work upholds the brands' standard of innovation and excellence.
? Work closely with project managers to help estimate and manage project budgets and schedules
? Partner with Creatives to develop concepts, with the ability to take projects to completion independently and present to senior management
? Consults with account, media and strategic planning staff to gather information about a product or service to determine the most effective visual expression for projects
? Executes creative assignments alone as well as with other studio computer artists and services
? Apply critical thinking skills to objectives to provide elegant and simple solutions
? Design in a variety of styles and maintain consistently high standards of work that will enhance the production-agency relationship
? Able to help with mechanical production as needed
? Present and help “sell” work to internal clients
? Able to interview, consult to hire and train design staff
? Show fiscal responsibility in support of the studio operation – ensuring that time sheets are filled out and all billable items are entered into the studio billing system
? Work within our ManagePlus (WIP) system
? Build mechanicals incorporating our Adstream workflow for studio production.
? Utilize Approvals Plus for trafficking work when appropriate.
? Performs other duties as assigned
? Must be able to work flexible hours

Required Skills:
? Must have 4+ years’ experience in design and production
? Must have a strong portfolio to show typography and design skills
? Must possess strong communication skills and an artistic intuition
? Must have strong technical skills in order to effectively create the desired results easily and efficiently
? Must have a strong sense of design/color and the ability to perform as an assistant to the creative team in areas such as layout, design and image composition
? Superior knowledge and skills with software programs within the Mac environment
? Advance knowledge in CS, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
? Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD would be an added advantage.
? Must be able to deal with a flexible process that is ever evolving to meet the clients' needs
? Strong typographic and mechanical preparation skills required
? Strong knowledge of input and output devices such as desktop scanners, color printers and large format inkjet devices
? Able to identify when their usage is appropriate for each project and deadline
? Must be able to work independently and with a team
? Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines
? Must be self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
? Strong creative vision, communication skills and problem solving abilities
? Must foster a positive team atmosphere
