PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Creative Designer & Media Specialist to join our team. This role blends graphic design, video production, and visual storytelling to help communicate the gospel and elevate the creative expression of our church. You’ll collaborate with our ministry teams to design sermon series, social media campaigns, print materials, and video content that engage our church family and reach our community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create compelling graphic designs for sermon series, social media, print, merch, and digital platforms.
  • Design and produce materials including flyers, magazines, stickers, event branding, and signage.
  • Capture and edit video content for sermons, stories, announcements, and social media.
  • Design and manage mass email campaigns and digital newsletters.
  • Contribute to website design and updates in collaboration with our communications and tech teams.
  • Ensure all creative materials align with our church vision, voice, and mission.
  • Participate in creative planning meetings and provide innovative ideas rooted in current cultural and design trends.
  • Maintain organized project files, meet deadlines, and respond promptly to communication.
  • Attend services and events regularly to capture authentic church moments and remain connected to the heart of our community.
  • Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
  • Knowledge of print production processes and file prep standards.
  • Proven experience in video filming and editing for social platforms.
  • A creative visionary who understands cultural trends shaping visual communication today.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills—able to collaborate with staff and ministry leaders.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, cooperative environment.
  • A faithful follower of Jesus Christ who loves the local church and desires to serve through creative gifts.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience designing for a church, ministry, or faith-based organization.
  • Familiarity with social media trends, algorithms, and storytelling strategies.
  • Experience creating sermon series design packages (graphics, lower thirds, slides, etc.).

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Overriding commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
  • A passion for ministry as expressed in supportive B-roll find and select stock music from Artlist.io for each video
  • Find and select stock footage from Storyblocks when needed
  • Use a working knowledge of basic audio mixing techniques such as compression,
  • EQ, noise-reduction, limiting, de-essing, etc...
  • color correct each video using Lumetri color
  • add simple graphics, lower thirds, and logos to videos when necessary
  • use Adobe After Effects on occasion to creatively turn sermon series graphics into 3D animations Calvary’s statement of faith and in agreement with our mission, vision, purpose, and core values.
  • Seeking a closer walk with God through grace, prayer, study of God’s word, and accountability partner(s)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
