OVERVIEW The Creative Director at BURLEBO is responsible for leading the execution of the brand’s creative vision across all channels. This role translates strategic direction from the Head of Brand and company leadership into high-quality creative work that reflects the BURLEBO identity and drives brand growth. The Creative Director leads the internal creative team and ensures all visual storytelling (photography, video, graphic design, and social media) is executed with excellence, consistency, and speed. This role requires a rare balance of creative taste, operational discipline, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is highly systems-oriented, detail-oriented, and people-oriented, capable of building repeatable creative processes while inspiring a team to produce exceptional work.

EXPERIENCE/IDEAL CANDIDATE

1. 5+ years of experience in creative leadership, creative direction, or brand creative roles.

2. Experience managing a creative team including designers, photographers, and videographers.

3. Strong understanding of brand storytelling, photography, video production, and graphic design.

4. Highly organized with strong systems and operational thinking.

5. Strong communication and leadership skills.

6. Ability to balance creative excellence with speed and efficiency.

7. Ability to create creative infrastructure while remaining flexible to the ever-changing business needs.

THIS HIRE IS EXPECTED TO…

• Lead and manage BURLEBO’s creative team including photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and social media creatives.
• Translate brand strategy from the Head of Brand and executive team into creative direction and deliverables.
• Maintain and evolve the BURLEBO visual identity across all marketing channels.
• Ensure all creative assets align with the brand pillars: Athlete, Outdoors, and Family.
• Build and maintain creative systems that allow the team to produce high volumes of high-quality content.
• Develop workflows for photo shoots, video production, design requests, and campaign launches.
• Manage the creative production calendar in coordination with marketing initiatives, product launches, and campaigns.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and at a high level of quality. Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the creative team.
• Set clear expectations for creative quality, output, and timelines.
• Create a collaborative, high-performance culture within the creative department.
• Conduct regular feedback, performance management, and growth development for team members. Creative Execution
• Direct and oversee photo shoots, video shoots, and brand campaigns.
• Provide creative direction for product launches, seasonal collections, and marketing campaigns.
• Review and approve final creative assets before distribution.
• Collaborate with marketing leadership to ensure creative assets support paid media, retention marketing, and retail initiatives. Cross-Department Collaboration
• Partner closely with marketing leadership to support digital marketing, product launches, and national retail partners.
• Work with the product and merchandising teams to ensure product storytelling is visually compelling.
