Job Overview
Jerry’s Artarama is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced graphic designer with knowledge of e-commerce product merchandising. You will gather and organize image files, create infographics and layouts for new product lines, and update imagery for existing product pages.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging imagery for digital and print media, including infographics, color charts, instruction sheets, brochures, and e-commerce product page content.
- Create relevant, visually appealing layouts that communicate and showcase the features of our products to online customers.
- File management of images, graphics, and other assets on an internal server.
- Utilize photography and digital art techniques to enhance design projects.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to optimize imagery for products.
- Receive feedback from key team members through our in-house review process and execute revisions as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design to improve skills, efficiency, and results.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Take on tasks outside of the immediate job description when requested.
- Use project management software (Asana) to track each project.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge.
- Familiarity with Teams, Outlook, Excel, Asana, and similar organization tools.
- Ability to work on either Windows or Mac OS platforms.
- Experience with digital design techniques, including layout design and visual design principles.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and online product marketing (i.e., Magento and Shopify).
- A portfolio showcasing previous work in graphic design, digital art, and/or photo manipulation is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and juggle several projects at once.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience.
- Some basic knowledge of art supplies
