PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Creative Marketing Lead is a hybrid position combining Marketing and Graphic Design. This position would develop, manage, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that combine creativity, technical expertise, and strategic communication to grow the credit union’s membership, enhance brand awareness, and support organizational goals. This position will also work closely with IT to ensure seamless integration of web, digital, and print marketing efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies focused on member acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Align marketing plans with organizational objectives and member needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, and community organizations to identify and coordinate marketing and sponsorship opportunities (e.g., local baseball field advertising, community events, and county partnerships).
- Forecast, manage, and optimize the marketing budget to ensure maximum ROI.
Campaign Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and community channels.
- Proactively manage timelines, content calendars, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
- Ensure consistent brand voice and quality across all internal and external communications.
Website & Digital Management
- Oversee website content, design, and user experience to ensure it reflects the brand and supports marketing goals.
- Manage the publishing and updating of Mobile Internet Banking within Google and Apple app stores.
- Collaborate with IT on digital content management, user experience and interface improvements, website updates, and new technology rollouts.
Graphic Design & Creative Production
- Design marketing collateral, digital assets, print materials, and branded templates.
- Ensure all visual content adheres to brand standards and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain an organized library of digital assets and templates.
Content Creation & Brand Management
- Develop or oversee copywriting, photography, and video production for campaigns.
- Manage the organization’s social media presence across all platforms by creating, scheduling, and monitoring engaging content that aligns with brand standards and marketing goals.
- Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.
Data Tracking & Analysis
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, website analytics, and member engagement metrics.
- Report key performance indicators to leadership and use insights to improve results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with other departments to support unified business objectives, product launches, and member communications.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.
PREREQUISITES
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in: Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Multimedia Design.
- Work Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar working environment. Extended experience could substitute for college degree or extended schooling could substitute for experience.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and web content management systems.
- Must have a portfolio of work showcasing marketing and design experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication, writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and energetic with a passion for community engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently and expeditiously.
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry is preferred.
- Creative vision with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and adaptability.
- Knowledge of social media analytics, marketing, and advertising platforms.
- Ability to give and receive creative feedback effectively.
- Technical knowledge of website management.
- Familiarity with domain management, hosting, and DNS basics is preferred.
- Understanding SEO best practices and digital advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
- Familiarity with email systems (Outlook, Microsoft 365) and email marketing platforms.
