Position Overview

The Creative Multiplatform Videographer will be responsible for leading the visual strategy and technical execution of all audiovisual content across the Vision News Media group, ensuring high standards of aesthetic quality, storytelling, and technical excellence across digital television, social media, and special projects.

This role will collaborate closely with photographers, camera operators, video editors, and audiovisual technicians to ensure brand visual consistency, operational efficiency, and adherence to production schedules. The role may also provide recommendations on technical equipment acquisitions (cameras, lighting, microphones, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the company’s visual strategy aligned with Vision News Media’s editorial and commercial identity (including the development of technical guidelines for the team).
  • Operate professional cameras in studio and field environments for programs, news coverage, special events, and live broadcasts, ensuring proper framing, camera movement, and visual composition.
  • Set up and dismantle audiovisual equipment (cameras, tripods, stabilizers, lighting, microphones, drones when applicable).
  • Collaborate with producers, reporters, and audio/video technicians to ensure overall production quality.
  • Cover breaking news under pressure and in dynamic environments.
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment before, during, and after recordings.
  • Transfer and back up recorded material following company archival protocols.
  • Adapt recording formats based on content distribution needs (horizontal, vertical, multiplatform).
  • Contribute creative visual ideas to enhance storytelling.
  • Ensure technical standards in lighting, composition, audio, color grading, and post-production.
  • Coordinate technical planning for both studio and field productions.
  • Oversee editing, color correction, and final delivery of audiovisual content.
  • Evaluate and recommend acquisition and upgrades of technical equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, drones, transmission systems, etc.).
  • Work closely with Production, News, Social Media, and Sales teams to develop innovative and competitive content.
  • Identify trends in visual storytelling and audiovisual technology to keep the company at the forefront of the digital media industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Film, Communications, Photography, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in audiovisual production.
  • Proven experience in digital television, news media, or multimedia platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with professional cameras, lighting systems, field production, live broadcasting, and digital workflows.
  • Advanced knowledge of editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
  • Experience in multiplatform production and vertical formats for social media.
