Creative Systems Specialist

Company: Catalyst Marketing

Job Title: Creative Systems Specialist
Location: Austin, TX / In-office / Hybrid
Position Type: Exempt / Salaried
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year

Role Overview

Catalyst is hiring a Creative Systems Specialist to help turn marketing strategy into consistent, high-quality execution across campaigns, creative assets, and digital experiences.

This role sits at the center of marketing production. You will create campaign assets, maintain websites, coordinate contributors, and help ensure marketing initiatives move from idea to execution quickly and reliably.

Success in this role means marketing programs launch smoothly. Creative assets remain consistent with brand standards. Websites stay current and well-maintained. And production workflows become faster and more repeatable over time.

This is a U.S.-based role, with a strong preference for candidates located in Austin, Texas. Local candidates who can work hybrid with the team are strongly preferred. Remote candidates within the U.S. will still be considered.

You will report to the Brand Strategy Lead and collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and paid media teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce marketing assets including Canva graphics, campaign creative, presentations, and marketing collateral.
  • Update key websites, including the Catalyst site and partner properties (content updates, page creation, asset management).
  • Coordinate marketing production across freelancers, contractors, and interns.
  • Support campaign launches by preparing creative assets and coordinating with paid media and strategy teams.
  • Develop sales enablement materials including proposal decks, case studies, and presentation visuals.
  • Participate in internal and occasional client meetings to present work, gather feedback, and coordinate deliverables.
  • Build templates, asset libraries, and repeatable production workflows that improve marketing speed and consistency.

Example Projects You Might Work On

Examples of the kinds of projects this role may tackle include:

  • Preparing the creative asset package for a marketing campaign launch, including campaign graphics, presentations, and supporting collateral.
  • Updating website pages to reflect new messaging, case studies, or campaign initiatives.
  • Creating reusable presentation templates and marketing collateral systems used by strategy teams.
  • Coordinating multiple contributors to ensure creative assets and campaign materials are delivered on schedule.
  • Developing repeatable templates and production workflows that reduce the time required to produce common marketing assets.

You won’t just execute isolated tasks. You’ll help improve how marketing work gets produced across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing, creative production, or agency environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience creating marketing assets using Canva, Google Slides, or similar tools.
  • Experience updating website content within CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort participating in client conversations when needed.

Ideal Experience

Candidates do not need all of these, but strong applicants typically have several.

  • Experience working in marketing agencies or fast-moving startup environments.
  • Basic familiarity with website structure, HTML, or CMS management.
  • Experience coordinating freelancers, designers, or external vendors.
  • Exposure to paid media campaigns or marketing analytics.
  • Experience building templates, asset libraries, or lightweight design systems.
  • Experience organizing creative production across multiple concurrent projects.

What We Value in This Role

We value operators who:

  • Take pride in high-quality execution and attention to detail.
  • Can translate marketing strategy into well-produced creative assets and campaign materials.
  • Build repeatable systems and templates that improve production speed.
  • Communicate clearly with both creative and strategic teammates.
  • Look for ways to improve how marketing work gets produced, not just complete assigned tasks.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building systems for execution, not just producing one-off assets.

Who This Role Is For

This position is designed for high-potential individual contributors who want to grow into larger operational ownership over time.

It is not a junior content role focused only on asset production, and it is not a senior management role.

The ideal candidate enjoys:

  • Turning strategy into execution
  • Improving production systems
  • Working across creative, web, and campaign operations
