The Credit Analyst evaluates business credit applications and ensures timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable. This role works closely with customers, sales, and finance teams to resolve billing issues, monitor account activity, and maintain healthy cash flow. It plays a vital role in minimizing financial risk and supporting overall business operations, specifically serving the Company’s North American customer base in alignment with established credit policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Process new account set-ups and conduct credit investigations, assign payment terms within authorized limits and escalating approval as needed.
- Analyze increases in credit lines and requests for extended terms. Make recommendations to Credit Manager, as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Maintain customer accounts and credit files.
- Review and analyze collection reports.
- Initiate collection calls in accordance with company policy, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate invoices and account reconciliation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing customer inquiries, resolving disputes, and supporting long-term account satisfaction.
- Participate in special projects when requested.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong capability to effectively partner and communicate with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
