Credit Analyst – SME Lending & Fintech

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our SME Lending & Fintech team. The ideal candidate will evaluate creditworthiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), assess financial risk, and support lending decisions through data-driven analysis and underwriting practices.

The candidate should have experience in SME/commercial lending, financial statement analysis, and fintech or digital lending environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze SME financial statements, bank statements, cash flows, and business performance.
• Conduct credit assessments and risk analysis for loan applications.
• Prepare credit memos and recommendations for approval.
• Evaluate borrower repayment capacity and identify potential risk factors.
• Review KYC, compliance, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signals.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and collections teams to ensure smooth loan processing.
• Support underwriting decisions using fintech lending tools and alternative data sources.
• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting of credit evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in SME lending, commercial banking, NBFC, or fintech lending.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and risk assessment.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and cash flow.
• Familiarity with fintech lending platforms and digital underwriting processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE banking/SME lending practices is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
