Job Title: Credit Risk Consultant (Data Analytics)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Consultant to join our analytics team and work closely with clients across the customer lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of business, risk, and data, requiring strong functional expertise, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to translate analytics into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject-matter expert for risk analytics, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and translate them into analytics-driven credit risk solutions.
- Design, review, and enhance credit risk strategies including:
o Acquisition & underwriting
o Credit line assignment and management
o Pricing and risk-based segmentation
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support model performance monitoring, validation, and ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions.
- Create clear documentation, presentations, and client-ready materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of credit risk management concepts and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with underwriting, risk policy, and portfolio analytics.
- Knowledge of key risk metrics such as approval rates, delinquency, roll rates, charge-offs, and vintage analysis.
2. Business Understanding
- Deep understanding of how lending products work in the analytics ecosystem, including customer lifecycle, profitability drivers, and risk-reward trade-offs.
- Experience working with credit bureau data, transaction data, and customer behavior data.
- Ability to align risk strategies with business growth, customer experience, and regulatory considerations.
3. Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with Python, R, or SAS for analytics and modeling.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and analytics platforms.
- Experience with dashboards or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
4. Communication & Consulting Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts in a simple, business-friendly manner.
- Proven experience working in client-facing or stakeholder-heavy environments.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills using data.
5. Willingness to work in US time shift
Nice to Have
- Experience in data analytics, consulting, or fintech environment.
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks related to consumer credit.
- Prior experience working with global or large-scale lending portfolios.
