Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credit Manager to oversee our credit operations. The ideal candidate will manage the credit approval process, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and maintain strong member relationships. This role requires a combination of analytical expertise, leadership skills, and knowledge of lending and loan origination processes to support the organization’s financial goals and enhance member satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise the Board of Directors on key matters, including financial position, delinquency trends, asset and liability composition, and profit/loss performance. Provide insights to support short- and long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing programs that promote the credit union’s philosophy, products, and services to current and prospective members.
  • Oversee the financial structure of the organization, including asset/liability management, accrual accounting systems, liquidity management, and control of non-earning assets.
  • Establish and maintain operational policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across all functions.
  • Coordinate organizational priorities, including staffing, service development, membership growth, and product delivery, while supporting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements to increase market share, enhance efficiency, strengthen service delivery, and improve internal controls.
  • Attend all regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels across the organization.
  • Promote and uphold a positive credit union image, ensuring a secure, professional, and member-friendly environment with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and ease of service.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop credit union staff, providing overall direction and performance oversight.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development and engagement.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
