Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the lawn care or landscape crew, ensuring tasks such as landscaping, lawn care, trimming, mulch installation, and other maintenance projects are completed effectively and correctly.
• Assign specific duties to your team members based on their skills and project requirements, maintaining a focus on the highest of quality and safety.
• Monitor work progress, provide constructive feedback, and motivate team members to meet project deadlines with enthusiasm.
• Conduct inspections of work sites to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the owner to understand project scope, timelines, and specific landscaping or lawn care needs.
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition for efficient job execution. Making sure each day all equipment is accounted for and returned in good working order.
• Support training initiatives for team members to enhance their horticultural knowledge and technical skills in areas such as lawn care, landscape construction, and plant care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture with a strong understanding of gardening practices.
• Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor lawn care or construction environments.
• Knowledge of lawn care and landscape construction techniques and equipment operation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse crew effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and ensuring safety compliance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
