Role Overview
The Crew leader is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all foremen and installation crews. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
The Crew Leader serves as the direct leader for all foremen, translating schedules and scopes into daily action in the field. This position is accountable for productivity, job quality, labor efficiency, and adherence to company processes. *Must be able to pass an MVR check and E-Verify.*
Crew Leadership and Oversight
● Directly manage and support all foremen and field crews
● Set daily and weekly expectations for production, quality, and safety
● Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
● Ensure foremen are leading crews effectively and following company standards
Project Execution and Scheduling
● Execute job schedules in coordination with sales, estimating, and operations planning
● Adjust manpower, sequencing, and priorities as needed to meet deadlines
● Ensure crews are assigned appropriately based on job scope and skill level
● Prevent downtime by addressing labor, material, or equipment issues proactively
Quality Control and Standards
● Enforce installation standards, specifications, and best practices
● Inspect completed work and in-progress installations for quality and accuracy
● Address deficiencies immediately and ensure corrective action is taken
● Maintain consistency across crews and job sites
Foreman Accountability: Hold foremen accountable for:
● Jobsite organization and cleanliness
● Crew productivity and conduct
● Equipment care and usage
● Accurate daily reporting and communication
● Coach, train, and develop foremen to improve leadership and performance
● Participate in hiring, evaluation, and disciplinary actions for foremen and crew members
Safety and Compliance
● Enforce all safety policies and jobsite safety practices
● Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
● Investigate and address safety incidents or near-misses
● Promote a culture of safety and accountability
Communication and Coordination
● Serve as the primary field-side liaison between:
● Sales (scope clarification and expectations)
● Buying & Equipment/Nursery (materials and readiness)
● Ownership/Executive team (progress, risks, and result
● Communicate field conditions, delays, or issues clearly and promptly
Performance Management
● Monitor labor efficiency, production rates, and job performance
● Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and cost control
● Assist in forecasting manpower needs and scheduling demands
● Support continuous improvement initiatives across field operations
Problem Solving and Decision Making
● Make real-time field decisions to keep projects moving
● Manage unforeseen conditions while protecting schedule, quality, and profitability
● Resolve conflicts with clients, inspectors, or subcontractors as needed
Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
