Crew Leader, Tree Climber

Duties

• Lead and supervise a team of tree climbers and ground crew members during daily operations
• Safely ascend trees using climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks with precision
• Coordinate project schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce safety protocols to ensure team well-being at all times
• Perform quality inspections of work completed and address any issues promptly
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools, climbing equipment, and machinery efficiently
• Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project scope and deliver outstanding results

Requirements

• Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or related outdoor maintenance fields
• Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments
• Skilled in tree climbing techniques with proper use of harnesses and safety gear
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening, horticulture, irrigation systems, and general construction practices
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to arboriculture and outdoor work environments
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads, working at heights, and operating machinery
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a team and coordinate effectively
