This is a generalist view of a job that you have been assigned for - at times you will be asked to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Update the crew rotation, movement or changes in crew list on daily basis
- Arrange training courses according to clients' requirements (ADNOC, Aramco & ONGC etc.)
- CDC, STCW courses and trainings certificates monitoring and uploading the records
- Direct communication for the crew changes with vessel Master
- Arrange HSE Inductions and prepare crew joiners with quarantine and approvals
- Implement observations and guidelines by superiors
- Continually update the reliefs schedules to ensure the overall overview is maintained at all times
- Ensure that all vessels crew are fully fit in terms of crewing requirement to be able to trade as per minimum safe manning requirements
- Ensure that vessels are manned in accordance with aforementioned regulations
- Ensure that all sea staff meets all flag state and ISM regulations with regards to certification
- Ensure the crew related expenses including vitalizing, crew welfares are looked after
- Provide necessary assistance to crewing department with follow up information as required
- Liaise with the interested parties on the repatriation of shipboard crew members and the preparation of the necessary documents and arrangements for such purpose
- Ensure that the HSE requirements are observed in the execution of all activities
Qualifications
- Diploma post-Secondary
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Communicate clearly and succinctly orally and in writing. Adapt oral and written communication style to the audience.
- Strong in direct communication to convey and explain difficult situations.
