Compensation and Benefits:
Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $45,017.00 - $54,764.00 Full Salary Range: $45,017.00 - $80,557.00 Annually

As an Investigative Analyst, you’ll be at the intersection of technology, intelligence, and public safety—helping detectives and officers solve crimes and protect the Greensboro community. You’ll use cutting-edge tools, software platforms, and data systems to uncover leads, connect evidence, and support investigations into violent crime and other major offenses. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigative work, problem-solving, and making a meaningful difference through data and technology.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who enjoys using technology and research to make a real-world impact. You’ll collaborate with detectives, patrol officers, and partner agencies to support active investigations and proactive policing strategies across Greensboro. This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Key Responsibilities:
The Crime Intelligence Analyst supports the Criminal Investigations Division by researching, collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide actionable intelligence in support of criminal investigations and law enforcement operations.

Certification Requirement:
Must obtain DCI Certification from the State of North Carolina within six (6) months of hire

With experience and continuing education, employees may advance to roles such as Senior Intelligence Analyst, Crime Analysis Supervisor, or Criminal Intelligence Manager.
