Job Description:

The Crime Intelligence Telecom Analyst – Transnational Crimes will analyze the misuse of telecom infrastructure in cyber and transnational crimes. The role focuses on identifying regulatory and technical gaps, recognizing criminal patterns, and providing technical assistance to law enforcement agencies in investigating telecom-enabled crimes across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze cybercrime databases to identify misuse of telecom infrastructure.
  • Identify regulatory gaps in the telecom sector that are exploited by cybercriminals.
  • Perform pattern recognition to identify suspect gangs, their modus operandi (MOs), locations, target profiles, and misuse patterns of telecom infrastructure.
  • Identify emerging trends in transnational telecom-related crimes, including fraudulent international calls, SIM card cloning, call spoofing, use of SIM boxes, virtual numbers, satellite communications, and other telecom infrastructure misuse.
  • Analyze how telecom systems and services may be used for money laundering, including misuse of international call services, prepaid cards, and mobile money transfer systems.
  • Extend technical assistance to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in investigating transnational telecom frauds and related crimes.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with strong understanding of telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
  • Completed B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications or Information Security.
  • Certifications related to Telecommunication Networks, Cybersecurity in Telecom and IT, or other relevant certifications.
  • Expertise in emerging technologies, including 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), and satellite communications.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various tools, services, and platforms essential for cyber investigations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to support off-hours and weekend on-call work, as required.
