We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney to join our legal team. Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal cases from initial consultation through trial, plea negotiations, or dismissal.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to build strong case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents including motions and briefs with precision and clarity.
  • Develop case theories by analyzing evidence, witness statements, and police reports to formulate effective defenses.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable plea agreements when appropriate.
  • Maintain records of case progress and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strategize on complex cases and share insights on legal research findings.

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in South Carolina.
  • Proven experience practicing criminal defense law with a track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Strong familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in litigation procedures and courtroom advocacy.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling legal arguments and detailed documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
