Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Sevens Legal Criminal Lawyers team. The ideal candidate will assist 4 Associate Attorneys in various legal matters, such as but limited to; writing motions, communicating with clients, and research. This role requires a strong understanding of legal processes, case management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Conduct thorough document reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case management and maintain organized records.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests under the supervision of attorneys.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Support the litigation process by managing deadlines and ensuring timely filing of documents.
Skills
- Experience in writing motions.
- Proficient in document review with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of criminal law.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis is essential.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and document preparation.
- Prior experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is preferable.
