Our established and growing criminal defense firm is looking for a passionate, motivated attorney to join our team. We believe in fiercely defending our clients' rights throughout San Bernardino County. If you have a fire for advocacy, a dedication to criminal law, and a desire to learn from experienced litigators, we want to hear from you, even if you don't have extensive trial or felony experience yet.

We are committed to training the right individual. You bring the drive and the California Bar license; we will provide the mentorship, resources, and case support to help you develop into a confident and effective defense attorney.

What You Will Do:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of criminal matters, from misdemeanors (DUI, drug offenses, assault, theft) to serious felonies.
  • Manage cases from arraignment through pre-trial hearings, motions, settlement conferences, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research, draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
  • Advocate for clients in court at hearings, including bail arguments, pre-trial motions, and preliminary hearings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on complex cases, learning strategy and advanced litigation techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, prosecutors, judges, and expert witnesses.
  • Develop case strategies and negotiate with District Attorneys for favorable resolutions.

What We're Looking For:

  • Required: Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Required: Strong passion for criminal defense and a commitment to client-centered representation.
  • Required: Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Required: Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with compassion and diligence.
  • Strongly Preferred: Some courtroom experience (law clerk, extern, or practicing attorney).
  • Strongly Preferred: Familiarity with or exposure to felony case procedures.
  • Ideal Candidate: A resilient, quick learner who is not afraid to stand up in court and who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Why Join Our Firm?

  • Structured Mentorship & Training: We don't throw you to the wolves. You’ll work side-by-side with seasoned felony litigators who are invested in your growth.
  • Meaningful Caseload: Handle serious and impactful cases from day one, with the safety net of an experienced team.
  • Gain Trial Experience: We provide a clear path to second-chair and ultimately lead trial responsibility as your skills develop.
  • Competitive Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses and a full benefits package (health, dental, vision, paid time off).
  • Make a Real Difference: Fight for the rights and futures of individuals in our community.

Job Type: Full-time
