Job Summary

Open Arms Outpatient Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Supervisor to provide oversight, quality assurance, and leadership across our Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) and Community Stabilization (CS) programs.

In this role, you will ensure that all clinical documentation meets internal standards as well as DBHDS, DMAS, CARF, and Medicaid regulatory requirements. The Clinical Supervisor will support clinical staff, coordinate client assignments, monitor documentation timelines, and serve as a key point of contact for Clinical Assessors.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, supporting staff performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services.

ResponsibilitiesClinical Documentation Review & Quality Assurance

  • Review clinical documentation (Initial Assessments, ISPs, General Needs Assessments, Prescreenings, etc.) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Ensure all documentation meets DBHDS, DMAS, CARF, and Medicaid standards
  • Verify medical necessity and adherence to trauma-informed, person-centered care practices
  • Monitor documentation timelines and follow up on overdue or incomplete records
  • Conduct routine monthly and quarterly internal audits
  • Identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies and implement corrective actions

Clinical Oversight & Staff Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact (POC) for Clinical Assessors
  • Provide guidance and support regarding documentation and clinical expectations
  • Follow up with staff to ensure corrections are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist with onboarding and training related to documentation standards

Client Coordination & Workflow Management

  • Assign clinicians to clients and confirm availability for assessments
  • Communicate assignments with Intake, Operations, and Administrative staff
  • Track completion of clinical documentation and update internal client trackers
  • Ensure smooth workflow between Mobile Crisis Response and Community Stabilization services

Meetings & Communication

  • Organize and lead monthly Clinical Meetings
  • Maintain communication across departments regarding assignments and documentation status
  • Participate in team coordination discussions with leadership and operations

Outpatient Therapy & Documentation

  • Provide outpatient therapy sessions for Community Stabilization clients as needed
  • Complete and document clinical notes in Noteable in accordance with agency standards

Faxing & Authorization Support

  • Submit required documents including SRAs, Crisis Safety Plans, and authorizations
  • Assist with timely processing of documentation, including occasional weekend support when needed

Staff Coordination & Hiring Support

  • Assist with interviewing candidates for Clinical Assessor and QMHP roles
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing needs and team development

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or eligible) preferred
  • Experience in crisis services, Mobile Crisis Response, or Community Stabilization strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DBHDS, Medicaid, and clinical documentation requirements
  • Experience with clinical documentation review and quality assurance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organization
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Pay: $41.00 - $45.00 per hour
