Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) Supervisor to lead our afternoon and evening crisis shifts. In this vital role, you will oversee the delivery of immediate mental health support, coordinate crisis intervention efforts, and ensure that clients receive timely, effective assistance. Your leadership will help foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing urgent mental health crises.

Schedule

This position requires afternoon and evening work hours and includes an on call component. The employee will participate in an on-call rotation, alternating with the CIS Director.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the crisis intervention team to ensure prompt and effective response to emergency situations
  • Assist the CIS Director in providing direct supervision, coaching, and support to crisis staff to promote professional development and high-quality care
  • Collaborate with community partners, emergency responders, and healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive crisis management
  • Ensure detailed and accurate documentation from staff are submitted within the appropriate timeframe / deadline
  • Provide 24-hour availability and crisis supervision to staff as needed in rotation with the CIS Director

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, education, or related fields and three (3) years mental health direct care experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education, or a related field, or be a registered nurse, and five (5) years mental health direct care experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience or three (3) years of Crisis Intervention experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services with supervisory responsibilities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mental health treatment modalities including art therapy, psychopharmacology, and gender issues counseling
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team in high-pressure situations
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, staff, community agencies, and emergency responders
  • Ability to work independently

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
