Position Overview

We are looking for local talent in the Dallas Metroplex to work under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, his delegate, or the Medical Director, as applicable, this position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the inter-facility transport setting by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of aeromedical medicine, emergency procedures, and diagnostics.

Essential Tasks

• Provides critical care-level service continuously from initial contact with the patient until care is relinquished at the receiving facility.
• Work along side hospital based ECMO teams while maintaining oversite of patient care.
• Readily applies concepts of differential diagnosis to dynamic and complex critical care patients.
• Performs advanced skill procedures including (though not limited to):
• RSI, Cricothyrotomy, Thoracostomy, Resuscitative Thoracotomy, Pericardiocentesis, Escharotomy, Lateral Canthotomy, Mechanical Ventilation, Medication Administration, Initiation of IV Infusions, Blood Product Administration, Arterial Line Access/Monitoring, Toco-Monitoring, ECG Acquisition/Interpretation, Defibrillation/Cardioversion/TCP, Lab Testing/Interpretation, Ultrasound Examination, ECMO, Impella, and Balloon Pump Monitoring.
• Maintenance Competency by participating in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual training requirements.
• Schedule - 24 Hours on, 24 Hours off, 24 Hours on, Off 5 days.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
