Serve as the lead technician for all mission-critical mechanical services and maintenance under contract.

Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual commitments related to mechanical systems.

Provide guidance, leadership, and technical knowledge regarding the installation, service, maintenance, and operation of data center mechanical equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, routine, and emergency repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps.

Work with pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls, as well as HVAC air distribution systems such as AHUs, FCUs, and fans.

Maintain, upgrade, and back up Building Automation Software as required.

Mentor and support technicians of lower grade levels, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Participate in on-call assignments as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Completion of a basic air conditioning theory class.

Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.

Proficiency in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.

Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.

Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.

Ability to satisfactorily complete any required client background checks or training.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification preferred.

VA Journeyman HVAC license preferred.

OSHA Certification preferred.

Valid Virginia or Maryland drivers license required.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance preferred.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with HVAC maintenance.
