Crop Research Manager

Job Title: Area Research Manager
Location: Thonotosassa, FL (Near Tampa, FL)

Lead a Premier Agricultural Research Station in the Southeast
We’re seeking a senior-level scientist and proven leader to manage our research station in Florida. This hands-on role combines scientific leadership with operational oversight, driving innovative trials in crop protection, sustainable agriculture, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the research station and cross-functional team
• Design and oversee field, greenhouse, and lab trials (pesticide efficacy, pest/disease management, crop genetics, biologicals, IPM, precision ag, etc.)
• Build and manage client relationships; develop proposals and secure contracts
• Ensure data integrity, reporting quality, and regulatory (GLP) compliance
• Maintain research infrastructure and foster team development

What You Bring

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Crop Protection, or related field
• 5+ years of research management and product development experience
• Strong background in pest management, plant health, and trial execution
• Demonstrated ability to lead scientific teams and engage clients
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
