The Watermark Aggregation is a 6,000 Ha ( 4,400Ha cropping) property located near to Curlewis, 30km south of Gunnedah, 70km northwest of Quirindi, and 80km west of Tamworth. It is a diversified enterprise focusing on mixed cropping and grazing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Cropping Overseer to join the Faulkner Farming team at The Watermark Aggregation. This role is ideal for someone with strong agronomy knowledge who can lead cropping programs, supervise staff, and drive operational efficiency across the farm.

You'll work closely with the Aggregation Manager to oversee summer and winter cropping programs, manage resources and schedules, and contribute to productive, safe, and sustainable farming outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Cropping Operations

• Plan and oversee seeding, spraying, harvesting, and grain handling in collaboration with the Aggregation Manager.

• Monitor crop performance, soil conditions, pests and weeds; report findings and recommend improvements.

• Manage cropping schedules, resource allocation, and contractor activities.

• Ensure machinery, plant, and equipment are well-maintained and used effectively.

• Support general farm maintenance, including fencing and infrastructure.

• Maintain accurate operational and compliance records.

Team Leadership & Safety

• Supervise, coach, and support staff and contractors to ensure safe and efficient practices.

• Promote and follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and sustainability.

About You

You will bring:

• Proven experience overseeing large-scale cropping programs.

• Strong agronomy knowledge, with practical understanding of rotations, soil management, and pest/weed control.

• Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating cropping operations.

• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate a team.

• Competence in machinery operation and maintenance.

• Strong literacy, numeracy, and record-keeping skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, solution-focused approach.

• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Farm Management (desirable).

• Current driver's licence (essential).

Highly regarded: HR Truck licence, ChemCert, First Aid, Confined Space/Working at Heights, AgWorld / AgriWebb experience.
