Cross-Border Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities1. Global Trademark & Brand Registration

  • Manage end-to-end trademark and brand registration across India, USA, EU, UK, Singapore, Japan, Russia, and other international markets
  • Conduct trademark searches, filings, renewals, objections, oppositions, and assignments
  • Coordinate with global IP attorneys, agents, and consultants
  • Maintain trademark portfolios, renewal calendars, and compliance trackers
  • Advise internal teams on brand protection, infringement risks, and compliance strategy

2. Global VAT, Sales Tax & Indirect Tax Compliance

  • Handle VAT / Sales Tax registrations and compliance across:
  • EU VAT (OSS / IOSS)
  • UK VAT
  • USA Sales Tax (state-wise nexus compliance)
  • Other international jurisdictions as required
  • Manage GST registrations & compliance in India, including:
  • GST registration, returns, amendments
  • APOB & VPPOB registrations
  • Reconciliations, notices, and ongoing compliance support
  • Support global direct and indirect taxation requirements

3. Importer of Record (IOR) & Customs Compliance

  • Manage Importer of Record (IOR) requirements for USA, EU, UK, and other markets
  • Coordinate IOR setup, documentation, and compliance with customs authorities
  • Ensure correct HS classification, customs declarations, duties, and taxes
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners
  • Ensure compliance with import/export laws and trade regulations
  • Support DDP / DDU shipment models and cross-border e-commerce operations

4. USA Regulatory & Product Compliance

  • Manage US FDA compliance for:
  • Food products
  • Cosmetics
  • Drugs
  • Medical devices
  • Handle CPSC compliance for consumer goods and children’s products
  • Coordinate product testing, lab reports, certifications, labeling, and approvals
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with US regulatory authorities

5. Company Incorporation & International Business Setup

  • Manage company incorporation and business setup in India, USA, UK/EU, and other jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with legal advisors, CAs, CSs, and global consultants
  • Handle post-incorporation registrations, licenses, and statutory compliances

6. FEMA & Cross-Border Regulatory Compliance (India)

  • Handle FEMA compliance related to foreign remittances, international payments, and investments
  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, and Authorized Dealers (ADs)
  • Ensure RBI reporting and regulatory timelines are met

7. Export & Commodity Board Compliance (India)

  • Manage registrations and compliance with:
  • APEDA
  • Spices Board of India
  • Tea Board of India
  • Coffee Board of India
  • Support exporters with registrations, renewals, and regulatory documentation

8. Documentation, Tracking & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain global compliance trackers, SOPs, and documentation repositories
  • Prepare compliance status reports and audit-ready records
  • Act as a central coordination point between internal teams, clients, and international consultants
  • Manage multiple jurisdictions, deadlines, and compliance calendars simultaneously

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of global trade, tax, customs, and regulatory frameworks
  • Practical experience in Importer of Record (IOR) management
  • Hands-on exposure to Trademark, VAT, GST, Sales Tax, FDA, CPSC
  • Strong documentation, tracking, and compliance management skills
  • Ability to work across countries, time zones, and regulatory environments
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • High accuracy, accountability, and ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA / CS / LLB / MBA (Finance or International Business preferred)
  • Experience with exporters, importers, e-commerce companies, or global brands
  • Background in consulting firms, compliance advisory, or international trade services
  • Familiarity with global marketplaces and cross-border selling models

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
