CSSD Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and packaging of surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Ensure proper storage and distribution of sterile supplies across all hospital departments.

Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and washers.

Monitor and document sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.

Conduct routine quality checks and biological testing of sterilization procedures.

Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.

Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory management.

Follow hospital policies, international standards, and regulatory guidelines for CSSD operations.

*Requirements*

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in CSSD or a similar healthcare setting.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sterilization Technology or a related field.

Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.

Skills
