Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher – Photography
Purpose:
To support and guide students toward the fulfillment of their intellectual, emotional, social, and career readiness goals through high-quality instruction aligned with District curriculum, industry standards, and Career and Technical Education pathways.
Position Overview:
The CTE Teacher provides instruction in Photography, preparing students with both academic knowledge and real-world skills aligned to industry standards.
Essential Duties:
- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with district curriculum and Idaho CTE standards
- Provide hands-on, project-based learning experiences
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Maintain a safe and engaging classroom or lab environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners
- Communicate with students and families regarding progress
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Idaho Teaching Certification in the assigned CTE content area
OR
- Ability to obtain a Limited Occupational Specialist (LOS) Certificate
To qualify for LOS:
- Hold a degree in the related content area
- Have at least 2,000 hours of recent industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in Photography
- Experience with project-based learning
Terms of Employment:
- 188-day contract
