Position Summary:
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of professionals in your field? The CTE Teacher Apprentice role is designed for individuals with at least 6,000 hours of industry experience in
Automotive, Construction, Welding, Precision Machining or Engineering who want to share their knowledge and skills with high school students pursuing careers in these fields.
This apprenticeship is an opportunity for professional growth and to train under the mentorship of experienced educators with formal training provided by Pima JTED. It's perfect for those with a strong technical background and a passion for education, who are eager to transition into teaching.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.Instructional Delivery:- Work alongside a Master CTE Teacher.to gain practical teaching experience and industry insights.
- Assist with lesson planning, student assessments, and classroom activities, gradually assuming more responsibilities.
- Teach interactive lessons that integrate industry standards, certifications, and real-world applications.
Skills Development:- Participate in structured mentorship and professional development courses, including the Premier Series Coursework to meet Arizona Department of Education CTE certification requirements.
- Learn and apply effective instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development tailored to CTE.
- Support students in exploring career pathways, preparing for certifications and building essential professional skills.

- Interest in pursuing a teaching career and CTE certification
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with students, educators, and industry professionals
Additional Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) or MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 1957
Negative TB test within the last year
Valid Arizona Driver License
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or related area
preferred but not required
Industry certification in relevant industry
