Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation, following established recipes and dietary guidelines
• Support the dietary department by preparing ingredients, assembling meals, and ensuring proper portioning
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation through proper handling, cleaning, and storage of food items
• Help with serving meals to residents or clients in a courteous and efficient manner
• Perform cleaning duties including bussing tables, sanitizing kitchen surfaces, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy
• Support food handling procedures to comply with health regulations and safety protocols
• Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
• Familiarity with food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices is beneficial
• Experience working in dietary or culinary roles within healthcare or institutional settings is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential
• Customer service experience that demonstrates professionalism and compassion when interacting with residents or clients
