Culture and Retention Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Culture and Retention Manager. In this role, you will enhance culture and retention initiatives for associates and leaders through training, surveying, reinforcing, and evaluating Kalahari culture and expectations, and facilitating Associate engagement, including events. You will consistently set an example and empower others to Lead with Love.

The anticipated hire date for this position is Summer 2026. We are beginning early conversations now.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen workplace culture, improve morale, and promote a positive guest-focused service environment across resort and convention operations.
  • Partner with department leaders to support team development, recognition, and internal growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies by analyzing turnover trends and gathering employee feedback.
  • Coordinate culture-building programs, events, and communications that reinforce company values.
  • Uplift and energize associates through a positive, enthusiastic attitude that supports a fun and engaging workplace.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience within the hospitality industry.
  • 1-3 years of experience in learning and development, and/or retention.
  • Must have a broad understanding of the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort.
  • Ability to establish rapport with associates and leaders.
  • Ability to manage your own time and take initiative on projects and duties.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Personable and positive attitude.
  • Experience in public speaking preferred.
