Cuppng - Hijama Doctor

Job Purpose

To provide safe and effective Hijama (Cupping) therapy services in compliance with UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations and the standards of patient care within the medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Hijama (wet & dry cupping) procedures as per MOH standards and scope of practice.
• Conduct patient assessments before treatment, including medical history review, contraindications, and informed consent.
• Ensure strict hygiene, sterilization, and infection control measures during all procedures.
• Educate patients about the therapeutic benefits, potential side effects, and aftercare of cupping therapy.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in line with MOH documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Adhere to all MOH laws, ethical standards, and clinic policies.
• Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) as mandated by MOH licensing.

Qualifications & Licensing Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Complementary & Alternative Medicine or related health field (recognized by MOH).
• MOH Professional License as Cupping/Hijama Practitioner (active or eligibility letter).
• Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in Hijama / complementary therapy.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications to cupping therapy.
• Fluency in Arabic and/or English preferred.
