Summary of Position

The Specialist actively contributes to the institution-wide operations of Institutional Accountability and Curriculum Support (IACS). The primary responsibilities encompass processing the digital and printed catalog, conducting meticulous data entry, performing various clerical tasks, and providing invaluable support to the IACS department in managing curriculum processes and procedures.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Eight years wage earning clerical experience, or Associates degree and two years wage earning clerical experience.

Knowledge Skills and Ability

  • Proficient in Windows, Excel PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to manipulate Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong data entry and word processing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Operate general office equipment
  • Professional telephone/office etiquette and excellent customer service
  • Ability to work with groups, as well as independently
  • Ability to integrate technology into the daily functions of the office
  • Ability to edit proof- reading, and research
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to perform research and resolve discrepancies in digital/printed academic catalog
  • Skilled at proofreading and identifying conflicting data
  • Able to use virtual platforms (i.e. Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom)

Essential Functions

  • Assists with entries into the college’s information management system (Colleague) for curriculum updates
  • Collaborate with Coordinator for the maintenance and regular updates of the digital catalog using catalog software, in alignment with curriculum review committee meetings and information provided by academic departments.
  • Responsible for the printed catalog.
  • Assist and attend the quarterly curriculum review committee meetings and advisory meetings
  • Maintains and update various e-forms to include curriculum revision/addition approval form (CRAAF)
  • Responsible for tracking program and course learning outcomes.
  • Responsible for the IACS TEAMS set up and maintenance
  • Assist with syllabus management and support.
  • Assists Dean, with research related to institutional accountability and curriculum support
  • Performs Administrative Support Specialist duties as needed.
