We are seeking a creative, organized, and early‑childhood–focused Curriculum Developer to design engaging, theme‑based lesson plans for children ages 1yr–5yr. This role is ideal for someone who understands child development, early learning standards, and hands‑on, play‑based education.
You will create monthly and weekly curriculum plans that support social‑emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development while aligning with daycare licensing requirements and age‑appropriate milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop theme‑based curriculum for ages 1–5 (e.g., Seasons, Animals, Community Helpers, Nature, Colors, STEM, etc.)
- Create weekly lesson plans including activities for:
- Sensory play
- Fine & gross motor development
- Early literacy & language
- Math & science exploration
- Art & creativity
- Social‑emotional learning
- Adapt curriculum for multiple age groups (1–2, 2–3, 3–4, Pre‑K)
- Ensure curriculum aligns with Wyoming Early Learning Standards and daycare licensing rules
- Provide teachers with activity guides, materials lists, and daily schedules
- Design monthly newsletters or curriculum overviews for parents
- Collaborate with the Director and Lead Teachers to evaluate and improve curriculum
- Maintain documentation of curriculum themes, assessments, and developmental goals
- Support classroom staff in implementing activities when needed
Qualifications
- Experience in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development, or related field
- Knowledge of child development for ages 1–5
- Ability to create hands‑on, engaging, play‑based learning activities
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to write clear, easy‑to-follow lesson plans
- Familiarity with state childcare standards (preferred)
- Degree in ECE or related field (preferred but not required)

- Creativity and strong understanding of age‑appropriate learning
- Ability to design curriculum for mixed‑age classrooms
- Experience with Procare, MarcoPolo Learning, or similar platforms (optional)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
