Custodian

The custodian for City Hall will be responsible for the upkeep and appearance of the interior upper and lower levels and the exterior entrance on the upper and lower level of City Hall.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the policy guidance and general direction of the Superintendent of Public Works or his designee.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Operates cleaning equipment in a safe, professional and effective manner

· Performs general cleaning duties for City Hall; including

o Sweeping, mopping, dusting, glass cleaning, thoroughly clean toilets

· Wash windows and all glass in City Hall

· Replenishes facilities with necessary products, prior to running out product

· Refills drinks refrigerator, prior to running out of beverages

· Snow removal and salt at the entrances on the upper and lower levels as needed.

· Empties trash daily and remove debris daily from the entrances of City Hall

· Order cleaning supplies utilizing proper purchasing procedures

· Communicates effectively with fellow employees and the public

· Assists with special events as necessary (May meeting room take down, setup and cleaning)

· Water and care for public displayed interior plants

· Performs other duties as assigned

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
