Custodian

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities. This position requires a commitment to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. The Custodian will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, including commercial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Assist with porter duties, ensuring that common areas are tidy and organized.
• Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks as required to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is an asset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
