Custodian and Facilities Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
• Maintain assigned weekly cleaning schedule
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Ensure restrooms are maintained and fully equipped
• Maintain user workstations and clean specialty surfaces/equipment
• Manages supplies, refilling and reordering items as needed
• Performing routine maintenance around the building
• Light electrical work; receptacle replacement, ballast repair, etc.
• ESD bench grounding
• Door hinge, latch, and closer adjustments
• Hang signage, white boards, and other light equipment
• Desk and cabinet adjustments/repairs
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Other tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications

• 2+ years janitorial experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction with strong attention to detail
• Possess mid to high level use ability of hand tools and light power tools
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
• Ability to work occasional weekends

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $18-22/hour.

Schedule

Temp Position Only (2-3 months)

Part-Time only: 20-30 hours per week (Day shift, Monday-Friday only)
