Custodian / Facilities Cleaning Team Member

Position Overview

Central Assembly of God is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-minded individual to join our facilities team. The Custodian / Facilities Cleaning Team Member plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our church, staff, families, and community.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and understands that excellent care of our facilities supports the mission and ministry of our church.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of worship spaces, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facilities/spaces (both indoor and outdoor spaces)
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, disinfect, and maintain floors and surfaces
• Empty trash receptacles and maintain proper waste disposal procedures
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas
• Assist with organizing and maintaining supplies
• Assist with setup and cleanup for services, events, meetings, and special programs

Facility Support

• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or needed repairs
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for church members, staff, students, community member, and guests
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment and supplies

Team & Mission Support

• Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and respect when interacting with others
• Support the overall mission and values of Central Assembly of God

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to lift, move, and carry supplies/equipment as needed
• Positive attitude and willingness to serve others

Schedule

Schedule does have some flexibility and may include:

• Early mornings
• Weekdays and/or evenings
• Occasional weekends for events or special services

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
